Since the first civilizations, Africans have travelled spectacular distances to trade and explore. Much has changed since then, but the need to move from place to place has not. As long as Africa’s people are on her roads, we’ll be here to fit the tyres that help them reach their destinations safely.Our story started sometime around the end of 2014 when Sumitomo South Africa was expanding its wings in Africa. We started with the distribution of Dunlop & Sumitomo products in Cote d'Ivoire and soon expanded to 13 francophone nations in West Africa. This became the base for our future expansion into other countries in Africa.

While we were building our business in West Africa, we had another story with total focus on tyre retail unfolding in Zambia. The Carbon story started in Lusaka in 2015 as Auto & Tyre Worldwide Ltd. In 2017, we ventured into Malawi followed by DRC and Mozambique in 2018. Since then we have worked tirelessly to develop our network and retail chain to expand our distribution channels. Currently, we have our presence in all the major markets in West, South & Central Africa with retail presence in seven countries.

We also offer wheel balancing, wheel alignment and tyre changing services to increase the lifespan of your tyres and keep you safe on the roads. Our Fitment Centres also give easy access to a variety of consumables such as batteries, air-conditioner gas refills, lubricants, auto accessories and other services.
